Laila King is a Diabetes Nurse Consultant as well as an Educator. Laila's youngest daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of four and now successfully manages her condition with an insulin pump. Laila has been instrumental in developing and delivering diabetes self-management education to patients and their families as well as healthcare professionals in the NHS. She currently works for London Medical in that role, in addition to working for the Warwick University Medical School.
