Philip Maffetone, DC, has more than 20 years of experience in private practice treating and training athletes in all sports including many world class and professional athletes. He lectures extensively on the topics of health and fitness, diet and nutrition, and lifestyle and stress management, and he serves as a consultant to athletes, sports teams, and corporations. Author of several books on sports for general audiences, Dr. Maffetone is a member of and former chairman of the International College of Applied Kinesiology - a complementary medicine organization devoted to education and research. In 1994, he was named Coach of the Year by Triathlete Magazine. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Foundation for Allied Conservative Therapies Research. He attained his DC from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois.
