Covering the management of tumors of the liver and biliary tract and of benign diseases of the liver and biliary tract, this is a text on surgery of the liver and biliary tract. This work is accompanied by a CD-ROM incorporating video sequences of operative techniques, and a library of many of the line diagrams in full colour.
This is the third edition of a classic text on surgery of the liver and biliary tract. Fully updated with a more streamlined approach, it offers the reader easy access to answers to their clinical questions. The new edition includes much more how to do it information, amply illustrated with over 200 new operative line diagrams, and has a greater emphasis on laparoscopic techniques. It offers new coverage of the management of tumors of the liver and biliary tract and of benign diseases of the liver and biliary tract. Non surgical treatment of tumors has been extensively revised with the introduction of many new chapters on emerging techniques, eg. radio embolization for liver tumors and alcohol injections for liver tumors. The features include: updated to include the latest in biological understanding of disease processes; expanded section on liver transplantation, its complications and results; and includes new developments in nuclear medicine, CT and MRI.
Accompanied by a CD-ROM incorporating video sequences of operative techniques, and a library of many of the line diagrams in full colour, "Surgery of the Liver and Biliary Tract 3/e" is the definitive reference source for the specialist surgeon.
