For over 25 years, he was the President and CEO of a US technology company and vice president of operations for the US operation of a European technology company. He has led multidiscipline teams for innovative solutions for challenging technological issues. His experience also covers research and development and technology testing and commercialization. Dr. Quazi was a director at the AIChE Nanoscience and Engineering Forum and chaired several technical programs on nanomaterials manufacturing. He was also a technical director for the Nanotechnology Assessment and Analysis Program Support for the US Department of Defense. There, he tested nanomaterials-based corrosion and abrasion prevention paints at the US DoD Assets. He was the chairman for the New and Developing Technology Subcommittee at the Fuels and Petrochemicals Division of AIChE. For several years, he was a consulting editor of AIChE’s Chemical Engineering Progress (Monthly). He was appointed by the US Secretary of Commerce to the Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee. Dr. Quazi earned a PhD in applied science from England as a Commonwealth Scholar.
