Icons for the Masses

This work shows how to customize and create new icons, either from scratch or by copying any of the 1000 icons included on the disk. Popular icon editors and utilities are reviewed and explained, while design tips and techniques help the reader create his/her own icons. "Icons for the Masses" has more than 2 megabytes worth of icons on a 800k disc. In order to ensure that the directions contained are easy-to-follow, enhancing icon applications are accompanied by diagrams and graphics. Additional topics include: colour palattes; blends; 3D effects; scanners; and commercial paint programs.
