Estelle Weyl started her professional life in architecture, then managed teen health programs; naturally she chose a career in web development. Since 2000, she has been developing standards compliant websites with XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. While running her own business, she has consulted and worked for a few sites not her own, such as Engage.com, Kodakgallery and Yahoo!. She is currently the Senior UI Engineer at Uptake.com, a partner and author at CommunityMX.com, the technical editor for "CSS Detective", due in 2010, and author of CSS, JavaScript and XHTML Explained (htttp://evotech.net/blog), a technical blog (with over 1M visitors). Estelle Weyl's teams came in 2nd at the first iPhoneDevCamp in 2007, and won best game in 2008. Estelle lives just south of San Francisco. She has a Bachelor's degree from Washington University, a Masters degree from Harvard University, and a much more useful Associates Degree from Foothill Community College. While not programming, teaching others how to program, and reading up on new technology, she enjoys hanging out with her dogs, and bringing her 1960s home into the 21st century.
