Publius Ovidius Naso, known as Ovid in the English-speaking world, was a Roman poet who lived from 43 BCE until 17 or 18 CE. Ovid was one of the most prolific poets of his time and the last significant literary figure of the Augustan age. Ovid's early work 'Remedia Amoris; or, The Remedy of Love' is a sequel to his 'Ars Amatoria' and offers advice on how to overcome love.
