This text examines what it takes to be number one. Vince Lombardi Jr takes his father's speech, "Self Knowledge is the Root of Character. Character is the Ground for Integrity. Integrity is Foundation for Leadership", and shows how to be number one in your heart, home and community.
Vince Lombardi, some argue was one of the greatest coaches ever in the NFL. He turned the Green Bay Packers from perennial losers into back-to-back winners of NFL titles in the 1960s. In this text, Vince Lombardi Jr takes his father's speech, "Self Knowledge is the Root of Character. Character is the Ground for Integrity. Integrity is Foundation for Leadership", and examines what it takes to be number one, in whatever you do. This book shows you how to be number one in your heart, in the heart of your loved ones, in the community, in your home, and at work. Being number one is about being first, but equally about finishing what you start, rather than quitting and compromising on your goals. Vince Lombardi Jr uses personal stories about his father, as well as excerpts from speeches and quotes from the legendary coach, and others, to provide wisdom and motivation for readers.

Vince Lombardi, Jr., son of the legendary foothall coach, has been in law, politics, football, speaking and writing, He earned a law degree and maintained a private practice while serving in the Minnesota legislature. He joined the Seattle Seahawks in 1975 as Assistant to the General Manager. Vince went on to become the Assistant Executive Director of the NFL Management Council and later led two USFL teams as president and general manager. Today, he is a compelling speaker who provides his audiences with the tools for leadership and teambuilding.
