Alex Wharton is an award-winning poet, writer, author and performer, and the Children's Laureate Wales 2023 - 2025. This is his third collection of poetry written for children. His first collection, Daydreams and Jellybeans (Firefly Press), was published in 2020, and was shortlisted for the Wales Book of the Year and the Lollies Laugh-out-Loud Poetry Book Award. His second collection, a poetry 'how-to' book for children readers Doughnuts, Thieves and Chimpanzees (Firefly Press), was published in October 2023.
