Fantastische Funde und Befunde der Vorgeschichte fanden sich bei den Projekten im Landgebiet und reichen von der Steinzeit bis in die Neuzeit. Ein kurzer Forschungsbericht zu imposanten neuen Daten und Befunden zur slawischen Burganlage Alt Lübeck sowie die Retrospektive zu berühmten Lübecker Funden der Archäologie in gefragten Sonderausstellungen im Jahr 2022 runden den Bericht ab.
The archaeological report on work in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck in 2022 contains numerous reports and insights into the exciting heritage management work carried out by urban archaeologists in the UNESCO world heritage area of the Old Town, but also in rural and suburban areas of the Hanseatic city. Among them are glimpses at what lies under the city’s streets, including exceptionally well preserved figurines, but also fortifications and a look underneath a cathedral curia. Fantastic prehistoric finds and features were unearthed during work in rural areas and span from the Stone Age to the Modern Period. A short report on impressive new data and results concerning the Slavic fortification of Alt Lübeck and a retrospective of famous archaeological finds presented in popular special exhibits in 2022 round off the volume.
