Orlando Espin is Professor of Systematic Theology at the University of San Diego. He is also director of USD's Center for the Study of Latino/a Catholicism, which he founded in 1994. Espin is author or editor of nine books including the award-winning Introductory Dictionary of Theology and Religious Studies (edited with James B. Nickoloff, 2007), Building Bridges, Doing Justice: Constructing a Latino/a Ecumenical Theology (2009) and Idol and Grace: On Traditioning and Subversive Hope (2014).
