Jackie D. Goodway is a professor of Kinesiology in the Department of Human Sciences at The Ohio State University. She received her PhD from Michigan State University in motor development and adapted physical education. Dr. Goodway’s research focuses on the promotion of motor skill development and physical activity in young children, especially those from vulnerable populations. She has developed SKIP (Successful Kinesthetic Instruction for Preschoolers) an evidenced-based (Successful Kinesthetic Instruction for Preschoolers) motor skill intervention that has been implemented in many countries across the world. She also co-developed the Developmental Trajectory model highlighting the relationship between motor competence and physical activity. This model has been cited over 1,100 times and is the foundation of work on many continents. Dr. Goodway has published numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed publications and has over 200 international and national presentations in this area. John C. Ozmun is a professor in the Division of Health and Human Performance at Indiana Wesleyan University. He received his doctorate from Indiana University with major areas in motor development and adapted physical education. Dr.' Ozmun is active in the study of early childhood motor development and physical fitness. He has authored and co-authored several book chapters and journal articles. He has created a number of motor development-related resources including websites and children’s illustrated children’s books for parents and early childhood educators. David L. Gallahue is Professor and Dean Emeritus of the School of Public Health at Indiana University. His scholarship involved the applied aspects of the motor development and movement skill learning of young children and youth in physical activity and sport settings. He is the author of numerous textbooks, book chapters, and journal articles. His work has been translated into Chinese, Greek, Japanese, Portuguese, Turkish, Farsi, and Spanish. Dr. Gallahue has been a visiting professor, guest lecturer, and keynote speaker on over 300 occasions at universities and professional conferences in 23 countries.
