Shaun Gallagher holds the Lillian and Morrie Moss Chair of Excellence in Philosophy at the University of Memphis, USA. His secondary appointments include Research Professor of Philosophy and Cognitive Science at the University of Hertfordshire, UK, and Honorary Professor of Philosophy at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He is the author of How the Body Shapes the Mind (2005), and editor of The Oxford Handbook of the Self (2011). Dan Zahavi is Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Center for Subjectivity Research at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He is the author of Self-Awareness and Alterity (1999), Husserl’s Phenomenology (2003), and Subjectivity and Selfhood (2005). They jointly edit the journal Phenomenology and the Cognitive Sciences.
