There is no one rule for business success, no one principle that can help you meet every challenge. The realities of doing business are just too complex. However, there are lots of little rules that can guide and assist you along the way---and that’s what 250 Rules of Business is all about. In this groundbreaking book, Steven Schragis and Rick Frishman have collected all they've learned from the movers and shakers of virtually every industry and boiled it down into smart, simple strategies.
The wisdom collected in these pages comes from individuals who have worked in the trenches, solved the hard problems, rallied the troops, and risen to the top of their fields where they harvested record profits. Schragis and Frishman asked them to share a single business insight---a basic rule, practice, or belief that played an important role in their success. Some of the responses were basic, intuitive. But others were amazing and eye-opening, the kind of nugget that makes you stop and think. As Yogi Berra said, you can observe a lot by just watching. Master just one rule a day and in no time you'll manage everything---people, workloads, companies---with more skill, more confidence, and more success!

Before founding One Day University in 2006, Steven Schragis’s career spanned a variety of roles in education and media. He was the founder/CEO and publisher of the Carol Publishing Group, parent company of Citadel Press, University Books, Birch Lane Press, and Lyle Stuart. His companies published nearly two thousand books including twelve national NY Times bestsellers---two that reached #1 in over a dozen countries. Steven was co-founder and publishing director of Spy Magazine, one of the most influential media properties in recent decades, as well as marketing director of Reed Business Information, one of the world's largest publishers of trade magazines and business information. He was also the marketing director of the Doral Hotel Corporation. As an attorney admitted to practice in New York and Florida, Steven has taught intellectual property law and marketing classes at New York University, the University of Chicago, and Harvard Law School. He has been profiled in Forbes, New York Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and on PBS and NPR in connection with his innovations in continuing education. Rick Frishman, publisher of Morgan James Publishing in New York and founder of Planned Television Arts (now called Media Connect), has been one of the leading book publicists in America for more than thirty-six years. Rick works with many of the top book editors, literary agents, and publishers in America, including Simon & Schuster, Random House, Wiley, Harper Collins, Pocket Books, Penguin Group, and Hyperion Books. Rick has also appeared on hundreds of radio shows and more than a dozen TV shows nationwide, including Oprah and Bloomberg TV. He has also been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Selling Power Magazine, New York Post, and scores of other publications. He is the coauthor of thirteen books, including national bestsellers Guerrilla Publicity, Networking Magic, and Where’s Your Wow?
