This book analyzes the problems to be solved urgently in the development of launch vehicle control system. The techniques of redundant Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) reconfiguration and trajectory replanning are proposed aiming at the inertial device failures and power system failures during flight of launch vehicles, respectively. It introduces the background of redundant IMU reconfiguration and trajectory replanning technologies and models of launch vehicle dynamics and redundant strap-down IMUs. The approaches for redundant strap-down IMU fault detection, reconfiguration and trajectory replanning are proposed, putting forward a prospect for the development of launch vehicle control system. The content of this book is concise and highly pragmatic. It could serve as a reference for engineers and researchers engaged in the analysis, design and verification of launch vehicle control systems and also as a reference for graduate students and senior undergraduates majoring in navigation, guidance and control.

Xuefeng Li is currently Professor and Ph.D. advisor at Beijing Aerospace Automatic Control Institute (BAACI), China. He graduated from Northwestern Polytechnical University with master's and doctor's degree of aircraft control, guidance and simulation in 1993 and 1996, respectively. He is an expert with outstanding contributions to the national defense science and technology industry of China. Dr. Li is the chief technical expert in China Aerospace field of Launch Vehicle and the chief designer of some important aerospace project launch vehicle control system in China.

Fan Xu is a researcher at Beijing Aerospace Automatic Control Institute, graduated from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 1999 with undergraduate degree and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2009 with Ph.D. He is now mainly engaged in research on autonomous navigation, online planning and guidance control technologies for launch vehicles.

Guoqiang Xu is a senior engineer at Beijing Aerospace Automatic Control Institute, where he continued to work after his postdoctoral research. He received his Ph.D. degree from Beijing Institute of technology in 2011. His research interests lie in artificial intelligence, optimal control and GNC design.
