This book is a "how to" guide to the most commonly adopted laboratory practices which employ electronic circuits and systems. It attempts to build bridges between undergraduate physics experimentation and industrial techniques adopted in the real world. Successive chapters describe techniques used in electromagnetic and sensor technology; operational amplifiers; microwave amplifiers; cryogenics; radio frequency systems; and approaches to noise reduction. The emphasis is on enabling the student to take up on each technique through preliminary guidelines and exercises, but also offering more extensive references and leads to all the "tricks of the trade".
