Sophia F. Dziegielewski is a Professor and Editor of the Journal of Social Service Research in the School of Social Work, University of Cincinnati (UC), Cincinnati, Ohio. Just completing her contracted term as Dean, she provided over-sight as the School of Social Work grew extensively.   Educational qualifications include her MSW and PhD in Social Work from Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL. Dr. Dziegielewski is currently a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Ohio. Prior to arriving at UC she was Chairperson for the University of Central Florida Human Subjects Review Board, where she presided over all human subjects' research at this large (43,000 students) metropolitan university. Throughout her social work academic, administrative and practice career she has been active in research and the protection of human subjects.   Nationally recognized as an expert on social work licensing her practice interest centers on health, mental health and psychopharmacology in social work practice. She continues to remain active in the practice field, maintaining current license in her field. She has been recognized for her ""motivational"" public speaking abilities and is the recipient of numerous awards. She supports her research and practice activity with over 120 publications, including 7 textbooks, 79 articles, numerous book chapters and over 500 national and international workshops and community presentations.
