This International Conference aimed to provide a platform for bringing out research and innovative ideas to shape education for the future of the built environment in the context of emerging technologies and environments and the National Education Policy. The conference, served as an important platform for reflection, dialogue, and action. It aimed to explore intersections, bringing together educators, practitioners, researchers, and students from around the world to engage in a dialogue that transcends traditional boundaries and encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, to explore how architectural education can and should evolve in response to the global challenges. The themes of this conference invited deliberation on established pedagogies, new technologies, and the pressing need for sustainability in design. It encouraged perspectives on the role of architects in society and the forms of knowledge and skills that future professionals would require to shape a better, more resilient world.

Madhumita Roy is a professor & former Head in the Department of Architecture, Jadavpur University. She was the founding Director of the School of Planning and Architecture, Amity University, Kolkata. With extensive experience in government roles she has contributed significantly to the planning of the New Town Kolkata project and pioneered online building plan approvals in India. She has received numerous awards, including the AICTE Young Teacher Award, and has completed several state and central government-funded R&D projects. Her research interests include sustainable architecture, energy-efficient building design, and the impact of urbanization on biodiversity. Jayashree Deshpande is an architect, sociologist and educator based in Pune, India. A distinguished graduate from Pune University, she has earned numerous awards and scholarships throughout her academic and professional career and has held prominent academic positions, including Chairperson of the Board of Studies in Architecture. Currently, as Director of the Academic Unit of Council of Architecture, she leads initiatives in training, research and heritage documentation. Her work in publishing and advancing architectural education has made a significant impact on the field. Nandini Kulkarni, is a distinguished academician, researcher, architect and urban planner. She serves as the Director of the Symbiosis School of Planning, Architecture, and Design in Nagpur. She has authored numerous SCOPUS-indexed journal papers and holds registered patents and design registrations with the Indian Patent Office. Dr. Nandini is actively engaged in externally funded research projects, including Vikasit Bharat. She is also the author of the book of The Urban Edges.
