Michael A. Crumpton, MLS, SHRM-SCP, is the Assistant Dean for Administrative Services at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Mike oversees administration of budgets, human resources and facilities; organizes and addresses space and remodeling issues. He is an affiliated faculty member for the Department of Library and Information Studies (https://soe.uncg.edu/directory/faculty-and-staff/bio-michael-crumpton/) as well as a certified Senior Human Resources Professional. He is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Learning Spaces and current President of the North Carolina Library Association. His published works includes monographs; Handbook for Community College Librarians, Library Unlimited, 2013, Strategic Human Resource Planning for Academic Libraries, Chandos Publishing, 2015, Short-Term Staff, Long-Term Benefits (with Nora Bird), Library Unlimited, 2018, as well as several chapters and a host of articles in this institutional repository. https://libres.uncg.edu/ir/uncg/clist.aspx?id=1151 Dr. Nora Bird is currently an Associate Professor, she has been with the UNCG Library and Information Studies faculty since 2007. Her teaching and research interests include: community college libraries, collections management, information-seeking behavior, workplace information literacy, and communicating controversial science. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Community and Junior College Libraries. She received her BA in Biology graduating cum laude at Boston University, her MS in Library and Information Science at Simmons College, and her PhD from Rutgers University School of Communication, Information and Library Studies.
