The book provides an extensive coverage on the definition of tools to comprehend, understand, describe, analyze and assess semiperiphery states during the post-cold war era. Moreover, it discusses the 'concept of change', including balance and stability are analyzed and re-defined. Additionally, the book provides an extended analysis of the concept of security in semiperiphery states during the post-cold war era. The concepts of 'existential challenges' and 'securitization' are introduced to develop an adapted understanding of security. Finally, early warning, its options and its limitations are delineated and critically analyzed. Based on empirical findings, this part will offer some tools, which may support the decision-making process and help to save time in a more and more 'time-less time'.
