This proceedings volume consists of refereed papers presented at the Second International Conference on Computing, Mathematics and Statistics (iCMS 2015) held in Langkawi, Malaysia in November 2015. Divided into three sections - Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics - the book includes both quantitative and qualitative research that confronts current societal issues. Within the main sections, the book also covers education based research works and the applications of computer and mathematical sciences in social science, business, industries and the life and hard sciences. Drawing on the theme Bridging Research Endeavor on Computing, Mathematics and Statistics, each of the conference papers are carefully selected and edited to cater to readers from diverse applied and social sciences backgrounds. The book allows for the contemplation and reflection on the possibility of the knowledge growth and knowledge sharing in building a better world for future generations.

Abd-Razak Ahmad is an Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi MARA. He obtained his PhD in Corporate Failure Modeling from Leeds University, United Kingdom. He received his bachelor's degree in Economics/Mathematics from Macalester College and a master's degree in Mathematics from Eastern Michigan University. His main research interest is on credit risk and financial modeling and his current works involve building separate credit risk models for Malaysian public firms using Black-Scholes-Merton based model and building Partial Least Square based bankruptcy models for small and medium enterprises. Using analytic hierarchy process, he works on ethics based corporate social responsibility efficiency and performance models for Islamic financial institutions which include Islamic banks. He is also working on the performance efficiency of Takaful firms using data enveloping analysis.

Associate Professor Dr. Liew Kee Kor is a PhD graduate in Mathematics education. Her PhD project on the use of graphics calculator had won an award in the USM Graduate Research Exposition 2004. Since then, she has been actively researching and publishing articles on technology in mathematics education. She has presented papers at national and international conferences and has written journal articles pertaining to the use of educational technology in the teaching of mathematics. She is also actively involved in reviewing papers for journals and conferences. She has authored papers published in The Encyclopedia of the Science of Learning and the ZDM Mathematics Education. She was also a regional editor and contributing author in B. Sriraman (Ed.). The first sourcebook on Asia research in mathematics education: China, Korea, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, and India.

Illiasaak Ahmad is currently the Head Computer Science Department, Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Kedah. He received his Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degree in Information Technology from Universiti Teknologi MARA and Master of Engineering (Computer Engineering) degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He has more than eight years working experience in Information Communication Technology (ICT) related industries, prior joining UiTM Kedah. He has published papers in indexed journal and conference proceeding. He is one of the contributors in the preliminary draft of Essentials of Computing Sciences: Project Administrator book which was first published in 2014. His current research interests include Computer Technology and Networking, High-Performance and Distributed Computing. He is a professional member of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).

Zanariah Idrus is currently a Computer Science senior lecturer at the Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Teknologi MARA Kedah. Her primary research interest is in the area of data visualization and optimization in vehicle routing problem. She was a member of the editorial board for several publications which includes Voice of Academia, Academic Series of Universiti Teknologi MARA Kedah and Quest for Research Excellence on Computing, Mathematics and Statistics.
