He is first drawn into religious studies group as a teenager in Saudi Arabia. He soon becomes a member of al-Qaeda and is interviewed by the leader himself, Osama bin Laden himself. But he increasingly feels alienated by the group's lack of remorse and bloodthirsty ways as civilian deaths are incurred. In 1999, he went to Qatar in the pretext of a medical concern. The Qatar government brought him in for questioning and he took the chance to change sides. Aimen Dean started spying for the MI6.
