Tim W. Jackson's career in publishing started at a young age. At 17 he began writing sports for his hometown newspaper, The Franklin County Times, in Alabama. He went on to the University of Alabama where he began writing for student publications, quickly becoming Assistant Sports Editor for the school paper. While maintaining a love of sports, Tim's career took a different direction. He began writing about the arts, antiques, culture, entertainment, and the outdoors. He has worked as a full-time employee for Southern Living, Cooking Light, and Canoe & Kayak magazines as well as at Radford University. Now based in Asheville, he has done extensive freelance writing and editing, most recently acting as Editor of the online publication The Asheville Post. He lives in Asheville, NC.
