This easy to follow book will inspire readers to have a go at acrylic painting even if they had never had the confidence before. Terry’s no nonsense approach to using the right brush for each task makes creating beautiful paintings achievable for artists of all skill levels.
Terry Harrison shows how to paint landscapes in acrylics using a range of simple brush techniques, and the author’s own range of brushes. He introduces the brushes, which he has designed to carry out specific techniques, and also explains which other materials are required, including using a limited palette of paint colours. He then describes what each of the brushes is suitable for, before going on to explain acrylic painting techniques such as painting a tree close-up, painting reflections and snow, creating distance and using texture pastes, glaze medium and palette knives. There are six beautiful demonstrations with easy to follow text and step by step photographs, covering popular Terry Harrison subjects: a summer landscape, a winter scene, a coastal view, a landscape with a barn, a Venetian scene and a beautiful building covered in wisteria. Readers who loved Terry’s Brush with Acrylics will enjoy this all new title, in which Terry’s brushes are put through their paces in a completely new range of illustrations and demonstrations.

Terry Harrison grew up in Norfolk, UK. His early art education was basic and he never dreamed that he would one day become an artist. At fifteen, Terry moved to Hampshire and, inspired by his brilliant art teacher, won a place at Farnham Art School at the age of sixteen. After graduating he became a graphic artist but continued to paint in his spare time. In 1984 Terry gave up his job to paint full time and never looked back, teaching and demonstrating his watercolour techniques throughout the world, developing his own range of brushes and paints and writing over 20 best-selling books that have been translated into many languages. Sadly, Terry passed away in 2017 but his legacy lives on. His gift for explaining his methods in an easy and accessible way has encouraged countless people to take up painting, and his beautiful works of art, inspired by the English countryside that he loved, will continue to be enjoyed by people all over the world.

1) Terry Harrison takes the mystery out of acrylic painting in this clear guide to achieving impressive effects with just a few strokes of the brush.

2) Six beautiful step by step demonstrations and plenty of tips and techniques make acrylic landscape painting achievable.

3) This book will give confidence to the beginner and will also inspire more experienced artists.
