Drawing on its matchless knowledge of Britain's footpath network, the Rambler's Association has chosen 50 of Britain's best views, from remote shell-sand beaches to London's big city skyline.and devised walking routes that do them justice.
Could you name Britain's 50 best viewpoints? A great view is something you savour for the rest of your life, especially if you've walked for it. Nobody knows this better than the Ramblers' Association, which leads over 20,000 walks each year across the country. Drawing on its matchless knowledge of Britain's footpath network, the RA has chosen 50 of Britain's best views, and devised walking routes that do them justice. The views cover the full cross-section of British landscapes - from remote shell-sand beaches in the Highlands to London's big city skyline. The one thing they all have in common is that the spots you need to see them from can only be reached on foot.

The Ramblers' Association is Britain's biggest walking organisation with almost 140,000 members across England, Scotland and Wales. The RA has been working for walkers for 70 years, and is dedicated to: Safeguarding Britain's unique network of public paths; Providing information to help plan a walk and enjoy it in safety and comfort; Increasing access for walkers - establishing statutory rights of access to the outdoors; Protecting the countryside and green spaces from unsightly and polluting developments; Educating the public about their rights and responsibilities and the health and environmental benefits of walking.
