Scotland the Best! was first published in 1993. Since then its reputation has grown as the guide to all the very best Scotland has to offer. It has been widely praised in reviews, by awards from the Tourist industry and, above all, by delighted readers from all over the world.
Glasgow the Best! for the first time takes all the Glasgow recommendations, adds some extra categories and includes colour photographs to provide the best and most useful guide to all the capital has to offer. From the main attractions of the city to the best walks, from fish and chips to French restaurants, from pubs to places to stay, the book provides an incisive guide to all that is excellent in Glasgow. However well you know Glasgow, Peter Irvine will guide you to something excitingly new.

Peter Irvine was born and raised in Jedburgh, the nearest town to the English border. He is now a director of the two leading-edge companies in Scotland which produce most of the major public events in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Among other things, he is personally responsible for the Glasgow Art Fair and Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, which is now the biggest New Year festival in the world.
