This is a new collection of themed walks in England, Scotland, and Wales presented in a highly practical two-book package. It is useful for anyone who enjoys walking as a leisure activity.

This guide is divided into six regional sections, each chapter in this guide opens with a summary, followed by suggestions for walks following one of the main themes - ancient tracks; landscapes; wartime Britain; wilderness; places of mystery; flora and fauna; urban and industrial heritage; and famous people. The 120 themed walks are mainly circluar and are presented as an illustrated map, including walk directions. They vary in length, from 5 to 10 miles, and offer varying degrees of challenge.
