More Pocket Pub Walks Cheshire

Following the great success of his first volume in this series, now awaiting a reprint, author David Pill offers a second selection. The new routes range from 2 - 6 and a half miles, are centred on the beautiful Cheshire countryside, and are based on local pubs serving good food. The walks include routes through pretty villages such as Styal, Gawsworth and Wrenbury; beside canal towpaths at Christleton and Norton; in woodland at Glazebury, Thurstaston and Hatchmere and via historic landmarks such as the old Roman road at Appleton Thorn, Cheshire's salt industry at Darnhall, and Civil War skirmishes as Haslington. Other walks where country lanes, wild flowers and birdsong can be enjoyed include little Budworth, Bartlington, Shocklach, near the Welsh border,f and Poynton.
