The information contained within this book is intended to provide health professionals with an assessment of current applications and future directions for the biological monitoring of occupational exposure to chemicals with an emphasis on inorganic chemicals and metals. Techniques are discussed that may provide great potential for the application of biological monitoring to the early detection or prevention of carciogenesis and especially for the detection of occupational cancers. The work will deal with principles but will also include state-of- the-art reviews of promising techniques in biological monitoring.
