Dr Syed Esam Mahmood, MBBS, MD, MECOR, MIAPSM, is a Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at King Khalid University, Saudi Arabia. He is the Chief Editor of the National Journal of Medical and Allied Sciences, and holds positions on the editorial boards of various other journals. He is the editor of Concise Textbook of Adolescent Health and co-author of Textbook of Maternal Child Health Programs-India. He is also a member of the World Association of Medical Editors, the Indian Association of Medical Journal Editors, and the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine.
