He is a member of the Project Advisory Group of the National Screening Programme for sight-threatening diabetic retinopathy and a former President of The British Association of Retinal Screeners. Professor Taylor lectures widely about diabetic retinopathy and is recognized as an outstanding teacher on the subject.
