This book is a compilation of contributed research work from International Conference on Electronic Systems and Intelligent Computing (ESIC 2021) and covers the areas of electronics, communication, electrical and computing. This book is specifically targeted to the students, research scholars and academician from the background of electronics, communication, electrical and computer science. Advances in electronics, communication, electrical and computing cover the different approaches and techniques for specific applications using particle swarm optimization, Otsu's function and harmony search optimization algorithm, DNA-NAND gate, triple gate SOI MOSFET, micro-Raman and FTIR analysis, high-k dielectric gate oxide, spectrum sensing in cognitive radio, microstrip antenna, GPR with conducting surfaces, energy-efficient packet routing, iBGP route reflectors, circularly polarized antenna, double fork-shaped patch radiator, implementation of Doppler radar at 24 GHz, iris image classification using SVM, digital image forgery detection, secure communication, spoken dialog system and DFT-DCT spreading strategies.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Mallick is currently working as Senior Associate Professor in the School of Computer Engineering, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) Deemed to be University, Odisha, India. He has also served as Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vignana Bharathi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. He has completed his Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) from Kongju National University South Korea, Ph.D. from Siksha Ó' Anusandhan University, M.Tech. (CSE) from Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), and MCA from Fakir Mohan University Balasore, India. Besides academics, he is also involved in various administrative activities, a member of Board of Studies to C. V. Raman Global University Bhubaneswar, a member of Doctoral Research Evaluation Committee, Admission Committee, etc. His area of research includes algorithm design and analysis, and data mining, image processing, soft computing and machine learning. Now, he is an editorial member of Korean Convergence Society for SMB. He has published 14 edited books, 1 textbook and more than 100 research papers in national and international journals and conference proceedings to his credit. He is currently editing several books with Springer Nature, Elsevier and Routledge & CRC Press. He is also serving as Guest Editor for special issues of the journal like Springer Nature, Elsevier and Inderscience.

Akash Kumar Bhoi [B.Tech, M.Tech, Ph.D.] is working as Assistant Professor (Research) in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), India, since 2012. He is also working (period: 20th Jan. 2021 to 19th Jan. 2022) as Research Associate at Wireless Networks (WN) Research Laboratory, Institute of Information Science and Technologies, National Research Council (ISTI-CRN) Pisa, Italy. He is University Ph.D. Course Coordinator for 'Research & Publication Ethics (RPE).' He is a member of IEEE, ISEIS and IAENG, an associate member of IEI, UACEE, and an editorial board member reviewer of Indian and international journals. He is also a regular reviewer of repute journals, namely IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, Taylor and Francis, Inderscience, etc. His research areas are biomedical technologies, the Internet of Things, computational intelligence, antenna, renewable energy. He has published several papers in national and international journals and conferences. He has 100+ documents registered in the Scopus database by the year 2020. He has also served on numerous organizing panels for international conferences and workshops. He is currently editing several books with Springer Nature, Elsevier and Routledge & CRC Press. He is also serving as Guest editor for special issues of the journal like Springer Nature and Inderscience.

Dr. Alfonso González Briones holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Salamanca since 2018, his thesis obtained the second place in the 1st SENSORS+CIRTI Award for the best national thesis in Smart Cities (CAEPIA 2018). At the same university, he obtained his degree in Computer Engineering (2012), degree in Computer Engineering (2013) and master's in Intelligent Systems (2014). Since 2014, he has worked in different public and private research centers, among them are  the BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca, where he works on the development of energy optimization systems in homes and intelligent buildings and the development of efficient systems in the agricultural and livestock sector; Virtual Power Solutions (VPS) in Coimbra, (Portugal) or Clemson University (USA), where he worked as a researcher in carrying out a study on decision tree algorithms with a high percentage of efficiency for the recognition of devices that carry out energy consumption, as well as the parameters that help to improve the accuracy of recognition and its detection. He has published more than 20 articles in journals, more than 40 articles in books and international congresses and has participated in 8 international research projects. He is also a member of the scientific committee of the Advances in Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence Journal (ADCAIJ) and British Journal of Applied Science & Technology (BJAST) and a reviewer of international journals (Supercomputing Journal, Journal of King Saud University, Energies, Sensors, Electronics or Applied Sciences among others). He has participated as chair and member of the technical committee of prestigious international congresses (AIPES, HAIS, FODERTICS, PAAMS, KDIR). Currently, he is a 'Juan De La Cierva' Postdoc at GRASIA Research Group in the University Complutense of Madrid at Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence Department. He was Project Manager of Industry 4.0 and IoT projects in of the AIR-Institute, and he was also a lecturer in the Master of Industry 4.0 at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR). 

Dr. Prasant Kumar Pattnaik, Ph.D. (Computer Science), Fellow IETE, Senior Member IEEE, is Professor at the School of Computer Engineering, KIIT Deemed University, Bhubaneswar. He has more than a decade of teaching and research experience. He has published numbers of Research Papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. He also published many edited book volumes in Springer, IGI Global and Wiley Publication, and he has co-authored the popular computer science and engineering text books, 'Fundamental of Mobile Computing,' PHI and 'Cloud Computing Solutions: Architecture, Data Storage, Implementation and Security,' John Wiley & Sons Inc. His areas of interest include Mobile Computing, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Intelligent Systems and Brain Computer Interface.
