Heidi van Rooyen is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington. Prior to this, she was an Executive at the Human Sciences Research Council in South Africa and chaired the Consortium on Advancing Poetic Inquiry in the Global South. Raphael d’Abdon is Research Fellow at the Department of English Studies at the University of South Africa. He is a member of the research projects Consortium on Advancing Poetic Inquiry in the Global South and ZAPP (The South African Poetry Project).
