He is regularly commissioned by school, college, and professional choirs, and is a sought-after clinician in both gospel and classical genres. As an educator, he has earned many awards over his career and has performed throughout Europe and the United States. In 2008, Wright was appointed as Head Choral Director at Mansfield High School, Texas, and his choirs are consistent sweepstakes winners in both concert and sight reading contests.
