Robert J. Nemiroff is an Associate Professor of Physics at the Michigan Technological University with a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Pennsylvania. He co-created 'Astronomy Picture of the Day' with Jerry T. Bonnell in collaboration with NASA in 1995. Jerry T. Bonnell is an astrophysicist who has been working at NASA since 1988 after receiving his PhD in 1987 from the University of Maryland.
