The Editors: A. F. Basson currently holds a visiting adjunct position in the Department of Classics at the University at Buffalo (State University of New York) and was previously Senior Lecturer in the Department of Greek and Latin Studies at the Rand Afrikaans University in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 1996-97 he was Visiting Associate Professor of Classics at Calvin College in Michigan, USA. He has published numerous articles on late antiquity and early Christianity.
W. J. Dominik is Professor and Chair of Classics at the University of Otago. He is the author and editor of several books and numerous other publications on such topics as Statius, Flavian Rome, Roman rhetoric and Roman verse satire; he is also the founding editor of the journal Scholia. He has taught widely in Classics and the Humanities as a faculty member or visiting scholar at the University of Natal, Texas Tech University, the University of Leeds, Monash University and the University of Cambridge.
