This reference shows designers and care providers how to plan an environment that enhances the lives of the growing number of Alzheimer's patients (and others affected by age-related change) by defining disease-related issues and exploring appropriate design solutions.
Research shows that the physical environment strongly influences the behavior and quality of life of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia. This book helps designers and care providers plan environments that enhance the lives of Alzheimer's sufferers and others affected by age-related change. It defines disease-related issues and explores innovative and appropriate design solutions for dealing with them.
